The HOIST: Here we see the accused witch suspended on the HOIST.
This was diabolically simple. The accused witch would have her wrists bound to a long rope which ran up to a pulley which was attached to the high vaulted ceiling. She would be lifted from the floor until all her weight was born by her outraged shoulders. If she proved stubborn, added weights could be attached to her ankles or toes. |

The PEAR: A spherical shaped device at the base and tapering toward the top. This device was inserted into the witches vagina.When turned, the device opens up, rips and tears tissue inside the vagina.

WITCHES CHAIR: Huge metal chair covered with small metal spikes. The accused witch is forced to sit (completely naked) in this chair. Sometimes hot coals are placed under the chair inflicitng more pain to the accused witch.

WATER TORTURE: The accused witch would be bound face upward to a short ladder. A metal clamp would be inserted in her mouth behind her teeth, holding the jaw just short of dislocation. A loose cloth would cover her face. While water was poured over the cloth, sticks would be inserted under the cords which had been looped above her thighs and elbows.The struggling women would have the cloth carried deep into her throat by the weight of the water. The tightening cords around her limbs would cut off her circulation. Just short of combined drowning and heart failure, the women would be retrrived.

THE WHEEL(BULL-WHEEL): The accused witch is stripped naked and secured to the huge wooden wheel with metal cuffs. As the huge wheel turns the cuffs around her wrists would draw mercilesssly tight. The loviness of her nubile body would become elongated until the ropes threatened to cut through the stretched skin. The sockets of her hips and knees would burn with the fires of separation. Some INQUISITORS would place a bed of hot coals and the base of the wheel. The victim would be slowly roasted alive.

THE JUDAS CRADLE: The accused witch is hoisted up, and then lowered onto the point of the pyramid in such a way that her weight rests on the point positioned in the anus or in the vagina. According to the pleasure of the interrogators, they varied the pressure from zero to that of total body weight, sometimes using additional heavy stone weights bound to her feet. The witch can be rocked, or made to fall repeatedly onto the point. |

BREAST TORTURE: The accused witches breasts were pressed between two planks, sometimes covered with spikes
BREAST RIPPER: Cold or red-hot, the four claws were used for slowly ripping a womens breasts to formless masses. These methods were used if the witch was accused for “libidinous acts”, self-induced abortion, erotic white magic, masturbating and other crimes. |
